This past monday my little niece Grace turned 2! I seriously can’t believe how fast time flies! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating her 1st b-day!

Wednesday – Firecracker shrimp with wild rice. – This shrimp looks so yummy!
Thursday – Grilled chicken breasts with corn on the cob
Friday – We’ll probably do chick-fil-a or sonic!
Saturday – Chicken enchiladas

Carla got this one of Jonas at the entrance of the park. I laughed out loud when I saw it! He must have decided to hide when he saw the giant waterslides!!
So we are back from our water park vacation! We had lots of fun and were fortunate to have great water park weather for most of the trip Jonas was in water heaven! Unfortunately I didn’t get to take a whole lot of pics because well, water + camera = not such a good idea!
I had a few from Carla’s point and shoot but my computer decided to act crazy and won’t let me upload those, hopefully I will be able to get that problem fixed soon.
In the meantime here are a few I took at downtown disney. It was my first time, we had a good time and had some good food. We ate at House of Blues which was also a first for me. I have never had better corn bread IN. MY. LIFE.

Sorry I have been MIA this week. We are getting ready to start our vacation so I have been working lots and meal planning just wasn’t happening this week or next since we will be in ORLANDO!! I am so excited to just get out of town and relax a bit! So, sorry if I neglect the blog a bit but please stay tuned for vacation pics…

Happy Father's Day Honey! Jonas is one lucky boy to have you for a dad!
Yesterday, I got a haircut and I felt the need to post it because I haven’t had one since august! Yeah, that’s right August!!! So needless to say my hair was in need of some serious lovin’!
I asked Brian to take a picture of me so I could show you guys. I have no idea what possessed me to think this was a good idea because every time I hand him the camera we end up arguing! He gets super annoyed with me because I hate getting my picture taken (i know, ridiculous) so I complain about every picture he takes which he immediately takes offense to because he thinks that I am insulting his “abilities” which I am not. I just think I am THE MOST unphotogenic person in the world and I don’t like to smile for the camera because it never looks natural to me, which also frustrates him. This leads to lots of bickering back and forth and then the camera gets put away. So, needless to say, this senerio took place yesterday, however he managed to get a couple halfway decent ones.
This is one of them, but it makes me laugh because it looks like I am trying to be sultry or something and that is just so not me!
This one is more like me
This whole photography thing is actually happening! I got the chance to photograph a friend from work and her son last weekend. After the shoot she gave me a referral for another session and that same evening I received an email with 2 other potential shoots, so…here we are! I have so much trouble calling myself a photographer I guess because I don’t have formal training and it just seems like I should have some university issued paper stating I am allowed to charge you for pictures! However, I know plenty of amazing photographers that are self taught so I decided I better just embrace it and since both clients asked for my card and or website I put a blog/website together for potential clients (that feels so weird to say)! Anyway, I happened to have my weekly night of several hours to kill (read more about this here) the other day so I spent about 7 hours in front of my laptop and this is what I came up with. Let me know what you think!
