The never ending project

Ok so I know some of you can relate to starting a project and thinking it will be super simple and finding out after your in too deep that its much more work than you thought…well thats the deal with my couches. I had two really ugly couches but didn’t have the funds for brand new ones so I thought I would just put some nice slipcovers on them and voila new couches. Pottery Barn had slipcovers on clearence…perfect right?? Wrong!!!!!! Before I knew I was buying pillow covers, inserts, batting all kinds of crazy stuff!!!! But I am very pleased to annouce and to show you that with ALOT of help from my mother I am finally done:)

The finished product (well almost as you can see it needs a little wrinkle releaser but I just couldn’t wait to show it off)

Writer’s strike

Ok can we just talk about this for a minute…what is the deal with this writers strike going on forever and ever!!! I mean I am all about these writers getting the money that is owed to them or whatever but I can not take another night of repeats and reality tv! If I don’t get to find out what is going on with Jim and Pam really soon I am going to freak out!!I miss you guys!!!!!!!!!!!

Gourmet Sunday Dinner

um yeah…I made a magnificent gourmet dinner tonight. Yes, you guessed it mac n’ cheese. 2 boxes of Kraft cheesy mac n’ cheese (gotta make plenty for leftovers) and I didn’t even make microwave hotdogs to go with. My husband and I ate to giant bowls of mac n’cheese for dinner. Tonight was one of my proudest housewife moments!!

Luke

So I mentioned in my “about” page that I have a great church and today was a perfect example…pastor is starting a new chapter (we are doing chapter by chapter verse by verse). He started Luke today and he was talking about how Luke decided to write the book of Luke which was clearly God’s will, seeing how it was chosen to be in the Bible and all. And he basically explained that Luke just “felt” that it seemed right and it turned out to be God’s will. I love this because I am constantly worrying about God’s will for my life. I always have this idea that if its God’s will than it will be made ABUNDANTLY clear, if you know what I mean…but it turns out I just need to relax and trust that God given feeling He has instilled in me to just “feel” when something is right.

This is so weird

I have been going back and forth about blogging for a while now ever since I have become sort of obsessed with reading other peoples blogs and I have finally decided that I would give it a try. I guess its just such a weird concept…the thought of just talking to noone or anyone… But lately I have been having so many random thoughts and each time I would think, it would be kinda fun to blog about that so here I am!
