Because I have nothing else to write about…

I thought I would talk about my love for Bravo TV. Never has a network produced so many shows that I LOVE to watch!

1. Top Chef (this is probably my favorite)

2. Project Runway (This show is just great I love to see the dresses people design – some are so creative and some are just awful…its great)

3. Real Housewives of Orange County & NYC (These shows are so bad but SOOO fun to watch the women are absoultely filthy rich and its just riveting so see how ridiculous being loaded makes them act)

4. Kathy Griffin: My life on the D-list (ok I know she can be REALLY raunchy but she cracks me up…I actually thought the show was cancelled but a new season is starting June 12th!!!.

5. Flipping Out (if you haven’t seen this, you need to this guy is absolutely, certifiably insane but it is so hilarious to watch!

6. Shear Genius (This is a hair styling competition…what could be more entertaining that that?)

Thank goodness these shows aren’t all on at the same time or else my household chores would take a serious hit:)

Happy Memorial Day:)

I LOVE three day weekends! Seriously 50% of why I chose to go into nursing is because you only have to work 3 days a week to be full time!!! Anyway this weekend was really fun and productive! Saturday was more of a relaxed day, Jonas had a swim lesson (sort of) he’s not exactly there yet. Sunday was the productive day I rented the Rug Doctor from Publix and cleaned my carpets!! It was not as hard as I thought (especially since brian did the actual cleaning) and we got amazing results!

I don’t have any before shots but believe me this is much better that it was:

Then Sunday night we went to Roco’s Taco’s on Clematis (without Jonas!) which was delicious!! Then afterwards we ended up seeing a local celebrity (Jason from 95.5) preform a bunch of his ridiculous songs on stage it was unexpected and hilarious!

Here is a photo I took with my phone so its not great but you get the idea:

Then this morning we got up and went on Brian’s brothers boat for a couple hours. It was Jonas’ first time out on a boat in the ocean! Here he is in his little life jacket…too cute.

as promised.

I am posting pics from out trip to the dreher park zoo! It was ridiculously hot and the zoo is kind of sad, its more like a bird sanctuary with a few tigers mixed in but the kids had fun (we went with my friend katie and her daughter/jonas’ best buddie harper).

Jonas sitting next to a peacock…he obviously wasn’t to impressed.

They had a fountain which was definately his favorite part!

This was in front of the tiger exhibit! Jonas was also not that impressed.

Ok I know this one doesn’t have anything zooish in it but isn’t that the perfect zoo bathing suit?! :) (it has little zebra’s on it)

Rainy day.

Today was a rainy day and although, I was hoping to get outdoors with Jonas because he tends to go stir crazy without a little outside time, it was the perfect opportunity to stay home and try a new recipe! I like to search for recipes that include items I already have in the fridge so since I had goat cheese and chicken, I made goat cheese stuffed chicken here is the recipe if you are interested.

It was yummy!

It was also the perfect day to start my wii fitness program! That’s right I purchased the wii fit yesterday…I know I am as shocked as you are. I was expecting to get it in a couple weeks when sales died down because everyone was sold out but I just happened to find it at Costco and for $10 CHEAPER no less and I wasn’t even going to Costco for that reason!!! I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!! For those of you who haven’t heard of wii fitness, it is this game that allows you to do yoga, aerobics, balance etc….its basically a gym in your living room!! It also tracks your progress and assess your BMI and stuff like that. It calculates all of your information and tells you what age you are physically. I think I was like 59 years old so I have ALOT of work to do…I guess the goat cheese chicken doesn’t help…oh well:)

Kathleen Nugent – Professional Movie Editor

Not even close! But I did make my first attempt at editing all the previous video footage I have of Jonas and I have created a little montage for your viewing enjoyment. I apologize in advance for the video quality it seems to get worse when you convert it.

David Cook…what??????!!!!!!

I am so freaking SHOCKED!! I wanted him to win so bad but I just didn’t have any faith that all the little teeny boppers would get it right!! I think archuletta had talent but Cook was so much more original!

Jonas and his Auntie D

I just mentioned that I have been working on uploading home videos and I had to share this it is too cute!! Its from about 6 months ago and its a little long, sorry haven’t quite figured out the whole editing thing:)

Update on “the list”

I wanted to give an update one how I am doing with the summer list  I posted a couple weeks ago. It looks like I might have to add some things because I am blowing through it!!!

1. Spend time with my husband. (I think he is more excited about my summer break than I am) This on is in progress.

2. Scan more old photos so I don’t have to worry about them getting ruined or lost. I will be posted them soon.

3. Take Jonas to the zoo and take lots of pictures for the blog ) We are going Friday!

4 .  This isn’t an activity that I am doing but my friend Katie’s is having her baby this summer so that will be really exciting!!! Not yet.

5. Steam clean my carpets (boring I know). Renting this on Sunday.

6. Help Dawn with wedding planning. ie. the shower, decorations, dresses etc. etc. etc. This will be going on all summer. But things are going good and the shower is in a couple weeks!

7. Go to the beach as often as possible to get tan for the wedding! I have definately been doing this and I am so ready for that strapless dress!

8. Read for pleasure!!! I just ordered this beth moore book I’ll let you know how it is ) Almost done with this book I think I am going to post some stuff from this book it has been just what I needed to hear!

9. Go camping in St Augustine with Craig, Carla and miss Grace in the RV ) We leave next thursday!!

10. See Dave Matthews with my husband! As mentioned previously, had to sell these tickets :(

11. Learn more about using my camera. Not doing great on this one.

12. Try and make at least one new dish a week that I haven’t made before! I’ve been sticking to this one and I am planning a new recipe for tomorrow night:)

13. Organize my closets. (again boring but I actually enjoy doing this kind of thing when I have the time) Did this yesterday here are is a before and after of the hall closet: (its not great but you get the idea)

14. Get Jonas some swim lessons. Hint Hint Auntie D! This is out of my hands…auntie D

15. Watch all the movies I wanted to see but had to study instead. This is already done because sadly there aren’t a whole lot of movies worth seeing. (I guess it was more of a case of you want what you can’t have)

16. Fly to Michigan for my cousin’s wedding!! We have our flight, we leave July 10th!

17. And of course head to key west in August for Dawn and Bob’s Wedding Extravaganza!!! Self explanatory

I guess I wasn’t as far along with the list as I thought…oh well. I’m adding some anyway:

18. Put all of Jonas’ home vidoes on the computer. (I’ve already started on this)

19. Purchase wii fit and start getting fit!!

20. Sell my old school books.

21. Get a boob job

22. Just kidding

Thats all I got so far I’m sure there will be more to come..it is only may!!

You never know what you’re going to find…

In all the birthday excitement I almost forgot that I wanted to blog about this little beauty:

Saturday was my first attempt at yard saling in this area. I have to say it was a pretty big disappointment, even in the nicer areas people were basically selling alot of junk. It amazes me the kind of stuff people will put a price tag on! Anyway this chair was at our very last stop and after going back a couple times to bargain the price I finally took it home!  Isn’t it great?:)

Happy Birthday Babe!

Today is Brian’s 37th Birthday…he is so old!! We had a big family birthday celebration at the beach. It was the perfect day for it and of course I have plenty of photos to share although I didn’t get any of the birthday boy..oops!

Jonas with his Auntie D

Miss Grace (jonas’ cousin) she wasn’t too sure about the waves.

Jonas with his Grandma (Brian’s Mom)

This one is from Saturday night. Since we were having a big family thing on Sunday Brian and I celebrated with just the 3 of us on Saturday night. We had sushi, brownie cheesecake (yum!) and played with Brian’s birthday present which was the Nintendo Wii (It is so fun!!)

Here is me rolling the sushi (It’s kind of a job)

But its delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I had a picture of us playing Wii Bowling (our favorite so far) but I don’t…so you can just picture us acting like idiots in our living room.
