This weekend was the first weekend Brian had off in a while, he usually has to work either Saturday or Sunday in the summer’s so yesterday we decided to plan for it to just be the 3 of us doing whatever we wanted. It turned out to be a really fun day.
We got up and drove down the street to a preserve we had seen but had never taken the time to check out and it was SOOO great!
It’s literally 1 mile from our house and it was gorgeous, we couldn’t believe it!.
The trail even had rocking chairs at the rest stops!!
Doesn’t it look so relaxing??!!
We even spotted some wildlife. Pigs aren’t exactly my favorite animals especially wild ones but it was still cool:)
After the preserve we headed over to toys r’ us to check out there bike selection. We weren’t planning on purchasing anything but just wanted to see what they had. We were so excited because they had this really cool radio flyer bike on clearance, it was the floor model so it was marked down and already put together which was a HUGE bonus so we couldn’t resist. Jonas LOVES it!
The best part is it has that it has that big handle so we can push him around until he decides he wants to pedal himself.
Then just before heading home for naptime we made a quick stop at our new favorite restaurant!
They just opened one down the street and its been ridiculous every since. I just can’t resist 1/2 priced, happy hour slushies!!!
It rained in the afternoon so we just stayed in and relaxed…it was a good day!
How fun! I have been wondering about that place too. Brad lives out past there now and he asked me too if I knew what it was. Now I want to go check it out! Thanks for being a trailblazer for the rest of us.
Kathleen, I bought the same bike for Jack recently so Marla can push him on their walks
and not strain her pregnant self.
