Well not completely wordless…this is Jonas’ ALL TIME favorite book. He “accidentally” destroyed it a couple months back and I finally got around to ordering him another one. It came in the mail this week! Needless to say he was THRILLED!

Fat lip!

Jonas got his first ever fat lip yesterday! I felt so bad for him but at the same time I was secretly happy because whenever Jonas gets a boo boo he makes me kiss the exact spot that hurts. He is very rigid with this meaning if he hurts his butt he bends over and makes me kiss his little tush So yesterday since this was a doozie of a boo boo he was making me give him kisses like a million times and there is nothing better than kisses from my little guy!! Anyway what kind of mother would I be if I didn’t document his first boo boo!

This was taken just seconds before the injury occurred. Brian thought it would be fun to let Jonas rid down the driveway, unfortunately the bike didn’t cooperate and it flipped sending Jonas face first into the pavement!

Jonas was upset but not nearly has panicked as Brian, he was a total mess!

Here's the fat lip, doesn't it look awful, poor guy! Although about 5 minutes after he was begging to go back on the bike!

He kept checking it out in the mirror, just like a guy to be proud of his injury!

ps. Thanks to everybody who offered to help after my last post! I didn’t post it for that reason but it’s nice to know I have such great family and friends!

MIA

Yes I know I have been a bad bad bad blogger lately. What can I say…it’s summer, I work nights and Brian just started a new job which has created a pretty crazy schedule for the Nugent household.

I am pretty sure I have gotten less sleep in the past week then I did the week I brought my son home from the hospital!

Brian’s new job requires him to work Tues & Thurs from about 8-4pm and Friday from about 8-12. This is his summer schedule until Jonas is in school full time. I obviously can’t work on Tues & Thurs so I end up having to work on Monday’s and often Wednesday’s which means I work all night then I have to stay UP when I get home until Brian gets home at 4pm. I usually pass out when he gets here then wake up at some obscure hour like 2 or 5am and just don’t have a clue what to do with myself!

If you are thinking that I am the craziest person ever, than you are RIGHT! I have no earthly idea why I thought I could handle this. I just keep telling myself that its only until September but after this week I am thinking that September feels like a century!!!!!!! Today I felt like a zombie. I was in the grocery store and I kept catching myself just staring at stuff in the isle and not knowing why. It was ridiculous. There is seriously no amount of coffee that will work to keep me awake and alert and oriented for 24 hours straight!

Anyway it’s 4am and I am going to bed but I just wanted to let the 3 readers I have left know that I haven’t abandoned my blog…I’m just tired I will be back as soon as I start sleeping again

This past monday my little niece Grace turned 2! I seriously can’t believe how fast time flies! It feels like just yesterday we were celebrating her 1st b-day!
