I watched this 20/20 episode on Friday and couldn’t believe what I was seeing! This young girl Carly is severely autistic and somehow starts communicating through typing. The things she starts to reveil are AMAZING! PLEASE watch!

Weekly poll

This week I did my decorating. I LOVE putting up the Christmas decor. I always try and do it right after Thanksgiving, so that is the topic of this weeks poll.

Back in business!

I have been sort of out of commission for the past two weeks. I have been studying my butt off and I am happy to say that it has paid off. I finished my last exam for pbcc yesterday and passed with flying colors!!! I have 5 weeks of working as an intern on the ob floor at St. Mary’s Medical and then I will be graduating! I CAN NOT wait. So, needless to say I hope to be back on the blogging wagon in the upcoming weeks and especially back to my weekly menu’s. I have seriously been lost without them. 

I also wanted to write a post today because it is my dear friend Katie’s 30th birthday today!! I am extremely blessed by our friendship. I will admit that I am not the easiest person to become friends with because I tend to be a bit shy at first and NOT good at putting my self out there. When we met she pretty much (in her own may) made it clear that we were going to be friends whether I liked it or not! I LOVE her for that. I also love her for her kind and honest nature. Happy Birthday friend!

It’s time:(

Here is a photo of my feet (yes I know I need a pedicure). You may also notice something blue blocking the view, that is my stomach! This is why I have decided to join my friends Katie, Amy and now Kasey in a sweets fast. They have already started but I will be starting Monday because realistically I am going to have cake on my birthday and Jonas’ birthday. The fast will end November 8th on Katie’ s birthday so I am hoping that by then I should be able take the same photo above and see a difference! Wish me luck. 

Anybody got any good baking recipes that don’t include sugar???

Class is in session.

So today was orientation for this semester and although the professor’s tried their hardest to instill fear in all of us I did my best to not let it get to me. I know this is going to be a tough semester and although I have the GIANT state board exam hanging over my head every day I know I will be ok, thanks to all the encouragement I’ve been getting! 

Here is a picture of one of our professors who actually said and i quote “get your valium prescriptions filled folks because this semester is going to be rough” Isn’t that nice! 

If your wondering I took this with my phone. No, I did not take pictures with my giant camera in the classroom!! I have been called the paparazzi before but that would be a little ridiculous:)
