YAY for grandpa!

This past weekend was a BIG weekend for Jonas! Grandpa came to town to build Jonas his very own swing set! It is alot bigger than I imagined and I still have to sand it a bit and stain it but as far as Jonas is concerned it’s DONE :)

One HAPPY boy :)

Movin’ on up.

Let the packing begin! The Nugent’s are movin’ again! I know what you are thinking…didn’t they just do that??!! Yep, we’re crazy like that! Actually we are moving for lots of reasons but one of the big reasons in because Jonas is an active little boy and he desperately needs a yard to run around in so we are moving to a house!! YAY!! We aren’t actually moving until the middle of next month but Brian and I were so excited when we decided on the new house that we went out an bought a new toy for Jonas! We got to try it out the other day in my brother-in-law’s yard. Check em’ out!

I think its safe to say Jonas + yard = one happy boy!

FYI

It has come to my attention that I should write a post whenever I add a feature to my blog, apparently it helps boost the traffic and well I am all about boosting traffic!!! So, I added a new set of links of photography websites/blogs that I love! It is no secret that I am a photo FREAK! I love reading about it. I love learning new tips and tricks to better my photography. I’ve been asked by TONS of people (just kidding, more like 2) if I ever want to pursue this as a profession and my answer to that is probably not. Taking photographs is SUPER fun and a great outlet for me. I seriously love taking them at pretty much every family event I have and running home to see the results but the pressure of capturing important moments in peoples lives would take the fun out of it for me…seriously. So for now I am happy just being the family paparazzi :)

And what kind of post about photography would this be without a picture in it! These are a couple photos I took yesterday of my new nephew!!

It’s a boy!

Well, hopefully cause my sister in law got lots of boy clothes at her shower yesterday and that would be bad if HE turns out to be a SHE!

Anyway just thought I would share some pics from yesterday’s festivities!

New feature, YAY!!!

WordPress just got a new poll feature so I had to try it out even though I didn’t have anything to really poll about!

Wedding Mania!!

My sister and I arrived in Key West on Wednesday night to start preparing for her big day! We pretty much got started right away on putting together welcome baskets, folding programs, etc. etc. Last night was the rehearsal dinner and this morning was spent putting together table arrangements. We are on a break this afternoon before we head over to the Blue Heaven Restaurant (YUM!!!) for the bachelorette party!! Here are a few shots from some of the festivities that have taken place thus far:)

These are the programs, they were designed (along with all their other paper stuff) by my friend Katie. Aren’t they pretty?! If you haven’t guessed green & pink are her colors and pretty much anything that could be is monogrammed!

Here is the bride to be at the rehearsal dinner. They served homemade cuban food, it was delicioso!!

The groom. This is his reaction to the realization that he is getting married in 2 days!! HA! HA!

Melanie aka J-Lo the wedding planner and Amy (one of the bridesmaids), enjoying their key lime pie on a stick!

The bride to be again with 2 of her bridesmaids Aimee and Lisa.

And me of course devouring my key lime pie. Can you tell they were a hit?!

Dawn hard at work on the floral arrangements for the tables.

All things pink and green!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See, I told you she monogrammed everything:) If you can’t tell the pink mums are forming a V!

So pretty! I can’t wait to see how it will look at the reception and don’t worry I will keep you posted!

FINALLY!!!

I have been back since Tuesday and when I came home my internet was down!!! It has been just awful. I was so excited to write about my trip and it has been torture. For you as well I am sure:) As you can see we are back up and running so without further ado…here are some pics from my trip.

The trip started out a bit rough, our flight got delayed til the next morning, they lost our luggage, all that bad stuff, my sister and I actually had to buy a dress for the wedding like 2 hours before it started. That was a bit crazy but it all worked out and we had a great time!

My cousin’s wedding was on Friday. It was a beautiful wedding and for me the best part of any wedding is the food and let me tell you the food was ridiculous. They had bacon wrapped scallops, what more do I need to say!

This was the attendant table…huge! They had something like 14 people in the wedding party!!

My cousin and his beautiful new bride!

The whole fam damily! We were being a bit goofy in this picture which is why it is my favorite!

Ok this is proof that we had a good time. It is rare to see my dad laugh THIS hard:)

The next day we went to see my Aunt Karen to celebrate my cousin’s daughter, Chelsea’s 3rd birthday. It was so nice to see everybody (it really doesn’t happen enough!) and Jonas got to meet all of my Aunt’s grandbabies and there are lots of um’! It was a fun day and I can’t wait for our next visit!! Here is a pic of the birthday girl fishing for prizes in the pool.

I was also able to get in a quick visit with my good friend Lora. We have been friends since college and we don’t get to see each other much so I was so grateful that they made the trip over to see me:)

Jonas also got to hang out with my cousin Mike’s little guy Steven I don’t have any of the 2 of them together but here’s one of Steven. Isn’t he a cutie??!!

It was a great week! And when I got back, the week got even better because my good friend Katie had her little girl and I got to hold her on Wednesday! She is so tiny and perfect and I can’t wait to hold her some more!!!

Summer is here!!

Some of you may remember from a previous post I wrote, about things I want to do this summer. Well one of my items was to go see Dave Matthews and another was to go to my cousin’s wedding in Michigan. Well unfortunately I didn’t plan very well and the two events are happening on the same day!! Oops. So I sold my tickets on craigslist and the guy I sold them to worked down on Clematis so at the last minute my friend Katie and I decided to take the kids to the fountain downtown and it was the first moment that I have really felt like summer has begun!!
